Hmm, let's see... work over the past couple of weeks has been pretty crazy, as has RL. So much so that by the time I get home most days, I pretty much just want to watch some TV or read a book to decompress a little, then go to bed. Very Happy

In what spare time I've had, I (for some reason) decided to try to turn my laptop into a media center and upgrade my desktop to Vista.

What little gaming I've done has been to test that Vista is working right with games (I had a bit of trouble getting my gaming mouse and G15 keyboard to work with them.)

Other than that... I just haven't had the time to actually log into anything. Confused I am still doing my best to troll, though. Very Happy

Mostly, DX 10 is making it's way into a couple of games that I play, and I wanted to play with it.

Also, I've got a 64 bit computer, and Vista 64 bit is far better developed than XP 64 bit, and has a lot more support.

And the switch is kind of inevitable, and it's always better to learn something sooner, rather than later. Smile

Agreed. I've been figuring out how to get a lot of things working with Vista lately, despite the insisting nature of the nay-sayers who claim otherwise. SP1 is on the way and it will address a LARGE number of issues surrounding compatibility, and XtremeAudio soundcard users will have nothing to fear with one of their newer drivers on the way, which is supposed to address motherboard interfacing issues with Vista (which apparently is related to my sound shutting off in EVE and LotRO).

the same thing always happens when Microsoft launches a new program. It just takes (alot of) time to get older programs to work on the new systems.

Hmm.. this could also explain some of the weird sound issues I've been having.

This mostly affects Nforce Nvidia motherboards, most notoriously the 650i SLI.
